A Sister’s Stand

A Sister’s Stand belongs to the new wave of vertical dramas: a drama story framed tall and cut into bite-size episodes. There are 66 quick episodes, so the full series adds up to roughly 1 h 39 min — shorter than most feature films. The plot, in short:

On the eve of her wedding, Lauren Green gives her brother Ryan a hundred grand, but he refuses to carry her out in the traditional piggyback ritual. Facing his betrayal and their father’s favoritism and schemes, Lauren, supported by her husband, fights back. Alongside her mother, she breaks free from the family’s constraints, cuts ties with her origin, and starts anew with those who truly love her.
