The Soothsayer

The Soothsayer belongs to the new wave of vertical dramas: a fantasy story framed tall and cut into bite-size episodes. There are 60 quick episodes, so the full series adds up to roughly 1 h 30 min — shorter than most feature films. Here is what the story is about.

Sixty years ago, the ancient soothsayer Nina Quinn shattered her divine power into twelve fragments, including the Omniscient Eyes that read fate, the Healing Heart that defies death, and the invincible Warrior Spirit, creating the twelve great families to save the world. Now she returns as a mortal, white hair falling to her shoulders and eyes veiled in black silk. Tasked with watching her, Commander Wesley Baker slowly becomes her chief guardian and her most devout believer. This time, she will reclaim the fragments and rewrite the rules of the world itself.
