Freya, eldest Winterbourne daughter, is betrayed on her wedding day by Julian and Sigrid and killed on the Blood Moon. Reborn with foresight, she rescues vampire Silas. When the Blood Moon returns, the Blackwood family—seduced by traitor sorceress Morrigan—seeks to devour the four great clans. Freya unites vampires, Fenrir (Silver Moon Wolf Alpha), and Green survivors against undead legions. Fenrir's wolves self-destruct; Freya summons the Blood Griffin, defeats Morrigan, and is crowned queen.
