The Magicless Boy Is the First Mage

Shot top-to-bottom for smartphones, The Magicless Boy Is the First Mage is a revenge and underdog rise series where each episode plays like a single scroll-stopping scene. It runs 50 episodes of roughly one to two minutes each — about 1 h 15 min in total, easy to finish over a few commutes. The plot, in short:

The greatest mage in history, Alaric, awakens inside Evan, a dying ten-year-old mocked for having no magic. When Evan's mother risks her life to save him, Alaric uses the primal magic he created to crush enemies no one else can defeat. But his secret identity—and the fate of the real Evan—threaten the only family he's ever known.
