The Last Box Held No Mercy

The Last Box Held No Mercy is a short-form revenge drama filmed vertically, with close framing that keeps every reaction on screen. It runs 41 episodes of roughly one to two minutes each — about 1 h 2 min in total, easy to finish over a few commutes. Here is what the story is about.

On her birthday, Lin Xiaoman received her last blind box. Inside were not the gifts she had expected, but solid proof of her boyfriend’s infidelity. She had always believed she was in a perfect relationship, never knowing her boyfriend had betrayed her long ago. What hurt her even more was that instead of apologizing, he shifted all the blame onto her. Heartbroken, Lin Xiaoman chose to break up and began to re-examine her life. She quit her unsatisfying job, moved out of their shared apartment, and slowly found herself again. When her ex-boyfriend regretted his mistakes and begged for reconciliation, Lin Xiaoman was no longer the girl who would compromise herself for love. The last blind box held no forgiveness — only her brand-new beginning.
