The Guard Is Actually An Archmage

The Guard Is Actually An Archmage is a short-form revenge and underdog rise drama filmed vertically, with close framing that keeps every reaction on screen. Episodes last a minute or two each, so you can watch a few on a break or binge the whole story in one evening. The plot, in short:

To save his sister, fixer Milo fakes a mage license for a night guard job, absorbing Calamity powers by fixing broken exhibits. In the Trial, he defeats foes using grandpa's tools to repair, not kill. When dark mage Valerian strikes, Milo's bloodline awakens. He crushes the plot with God's Anchor, rising as the new Archmage.
