Mistress of Thunder

Mistress of Thunder belongs to the new wave of vertical dramas: a revenge and underdog rise story framed tall and cut into bite-size episodes. There are 42 quick episodes, so the full series adds up to roughly 1 h 3 min — shorter than most feature films. Here is what the story is about.

The Thunder Goddess is reborn as Astrid, a scorned daughter in a male-ruled duchy. Her father and half-brother steal her lightning and claim the victory. At the tournament, she reveals her divinity, reclaims the hammer, and slays the serpent. She saves her foster mother, exposes the plot, and rules the duchy as its Thunder Goddess.
