Crown of Thorns

Shot top-to-bottom for smartphones, Crown of Thorns is a revenge and underdog rise series where each episode plays like a single scroll-stopping scene. There are 27 quick episodes, so the full series adds up to roughly 41 min — shorter than most feature films. The plot, in short:

Framed for adultery, she-wolf Penelope is sentenced to burn. To live, she weds William, a 'stable hand' secretly the crown prince. She crosses silver fire barefoot for his ring, saved by his royal wolf form. In the palace she uncovers a lifelong poison and a frame-up, clears her name, reforms the law, and ascends as queen beside the wolf king.
