Cast Me Out, Feed the Swarm

Cast Me Out, Feed the Swarm is a short-form revenge and fantasy drama filmed vertically, with close framing that keeps every reaction on screen. Like most vertical dramas, it moves fast: short episodes, a cliffhanger at the end of each, and no filler. The plot, in short:

Thirty years ago, Ethan Hawk sacrificed his lifespan to raise the Skyveil and protect Earth, but was betrayed and caged as humanity flew into the Zerg's trap. When the trap was sprung, his plan activated: the veil rebooted, he killed the Zerg Mother, saved his daughter, and restored sunlight to Earth.
